This refers to corrective procedures in the event of insufficient weight loss or complications during the initial operation, as well as conversion operations, e.g., from a sleeve gastrectomy to a stomach bypass. As the Bariatric Centre of the Clinic Hirslanden Zurich is considered a reference centre, I can offer all bariatric surgery procedures there, including complex revision procedures, as well as initial surgery in the case of BMI >50kg/m2.

A regular follow-up during a period of at least 5 years is strongly recommended and is required by the SMOB to detect deficiency symptoms at an early stage and to treat them accordingly (food supplements, vitamin substitution).
